Game development is an ever-evolving field, and tools like ours are making it easier than ever for aspiring and seasoned game developers alike to bring their visions to life. Designed specifically for the iPad, we democratize game dev by allowing users to create complex, interactive experiences without needing to write a single line of code. Whether you're a beginner or a veteran, our intuitive visual scripting system is designed to make game dev accessible and fun.

TDLR; By using the new Break and Continue behaviors, you can optimize your game logic and elevate your projects to the next level. Whether you're stopping unnecessary actions or skipping over certain conditions, these tools will help you build more efficient, engaging games. Happy developing!

Introducing "Break" and "Continue" Behaviors

In our latest update, we've added two powerful new behaviors: Break and Continue. These additions are designed to give you more control over your game loops, helping you manage game logic more efficiently.

Break: This behavior allows you to instantly exit a loop when a certain condition is met. This is particularly useful for stopping unnecessary checks or actions in your game. For example, if you're running a loop to check for collisions and the desired collision has already occurred, you can use the Break behavior to exit the loop immediately, optimizing your game's performance.

Continue: On the other hand, the Continue behavior lets you skip to the next iteration of the loop without stopping it entirely. This is perfect for bypassing certain conditions or objects that don't need further interaction during that particular loop cycle. For instance, if your game loop is iterating through a list of enemies and one of them is already defeated, the Continue behavior can skip over that enemy and move on to the next.

Simplifying Game Logic with Visual Scripting

One of the standout features of hyperPad is how it blends traditional coding logic with the simplicity of visual scripting. The Break and Continue behaviors are seamlessly integrated into the drag-and-drop interface, allowing you to implement advanced game mechanics without getting bogged down by complex code.

This user-friendly approach is especially beneficial for younger users or those new to game development. With us, users as young as 10 can start building their own games, gaining valuable skills in logic and problem-solving along the way. And for those who are more experienced, these behaviors offer the flexibility to create sophisticated games that rival those made with traditional coding.

A Global Tool for a Global Community

With support for 35 languages, hyperPad is truly a global tool, making game development accessible to a diverse community of creators. Whether you're working on a small indie game or a larger project, hyperPad provides the tools you need to bring your ideas to life—no matter where you're from or what language you speak.
