Bringing "So Called Living" to Life as an Interactive Digital Experience

Robinson, our user turned intern, is a university student with ten years of experience in app development with hyperPad. In June 2024, he successfully transformed the comic book "So Called Living" into an interactive digital experience. This innovative project was made possible with assets provided by Mark Maia, the creator of "So Called Living," who is also known on Instagram as @boardgamecoffee. Maia's comic book marks his debut in the comic world, and hyperPad is thrilled to celebrate this milestone by showcasing Robinson's exceptional work.

Special Recognition

We want to extend a special shout-out to Robinson for his dedication and expertise in transforming Mark’s creation into an engaging digital format. His meticulous efforts and creative vision have truly brought "So Called Living" to life in an interactive way.

To bring this project to life, Robinson dedicated 3-5 hours each day over a span of seven days to develop this project. The intensive week-long effort culminated in a polished and interactive version of "So Called Living," offering a new and immersive experience for comic book enthusiasts.

To enhance the immersive experience, Robinson incorporated several tools that are compatible with hyperPad such as You Doodle, Photoroom and Photopea.

Robinson's project showcases the successful blend of creativity and technical skill. By leveraging a variety of tools and dedicating significant time and effort, Robinson was able to bring Mark Maia's "So Called Living" to a new, interactive audience. This case study not only highlights the potential of digital transformation in the comic book industry but also serves as an inspiration for aspiring developers and creators.
