Welcome to the vibrant world of Clout Alternate, a game where innovation intertwines with familiarity to deliver a captivating gaming experience. Developed by hyperPad Ambassador, Space, Clout Alternate blends inspiration from acclaimed titles like Job Simulator and the inventive spin of roguelike elements in Splatoon. Dive into a dynamic fusion of creativity and gameplay depth as you explore the exciting journey from inspiration to creation and publishing.
The development of Clout Alternate was influenced by Space's personal interests, including object shows, which played a significant role in shaping the game's setting and characters. While the game isn't explicitly space-themed, the design of the space hat hints at potential future updates that may explore space-themed elements.
In parallel, the blog delves into the beloved titles that served as inspiration for Clout Alternate. From the whimsical workplace antics of Job Simulator to the ink-splattering action of Splatoon, each game brings its own charm and innovation to the gaming landscape.
Furthermore, the introduction of roguelike elements in Splatoon's DLC, Side Order, sparked ideas for incorporating similar elements into Clout Alternate. With plans to introduce a new mode called "The Brainwave," Space aims to enhance replayability and introduce all-or-nothing gameplay mechanics, offering players a fresh challenge with every playthrough.
This is a quick get to know Space and what inspired him! We hope this will help you find your next game inspiration.
For about 2 years, the main aspect of the Clout series has either been tapping pictures or “uploading” by tapping pictures.
Clout Alternate focuses on the “alternate” mode that both Clout Uploader and Clout Uploader Forever focused on, jobs. In the original games, only one job was offered, the restaurant game mode.
The design of the space hat.
Here is a small snippet of gameplay of the restaurant mode of clout alternate (footage is used with a brain booster upgrade, keep reading to find out!).
There’s not really space themed aspects of this game, other than the design of space hat. In the future of this game however, I would like to have a spaced-themes update.
Some of the places you work at in Clout Alternate are spun off of real restaurants like “Clouty House” being like Waffle House.
One of the contributing factors to the setting and characters are object shows, as they've been one of my personal interests for about 6-7 years now.
Developed by Owlchemy Labs, Job Simulator is a virtual reality game that playfully satirizes everyday work life, offering players a whimsical and humorous take on various occupations.
Whether you're flipping burgers as a chef, fixing cars as an auto mechanic, or handling office tasks as a desk worker, Job Simulator invites you to explore a series of hilarious job simulations filled with wacky characters and unpredictable scenarios. With its charming art style, intuitive gameplay mechanics, and boundless opportunities for comedic exploration, Job Simulator has earned acclaim for its inventive approach to virtual reality entertainment.
In Job Simulator, there are 4 different types of minigames: Cashier, Auto Repair, Chef, and office manager. I’ve always loved this game, and I think the absurdism of doing jobs with non-human characters is charming as well.
The realism could be said to be such as what type of items are made at the jobs, such as pizzas. Even the police will… chase you while you’re robbing a bank? That’s not really a job, but it’s a thing that happens in real life!
Welcome to a colorful world of ink-splattering action with Splatoon, a beloved franchise that takes a fresh spin on the traditional shooter genre. Developed by Nintendo, Splatoon introduces players to a vibrant universe where squids and octopi battle it out in fast-paced, turf-war matches. But what if there was more to Splatoon's world than meets the eye?
Enter the Splatoon Roguelike Idea, a thrilling concept that infuses the game's signature ink-slinging gameplay with roguelike elements. Imagine embarking on an unpredictable journey through procedurally generated levels, where every encounter presents new challenges and opportunities. With each floor of a towering structure offering unique obstacles and rewards, players must adapt their strategies on the fly, utilizing upgrades known as "Color Chips" to overcome increasingly difficult foes.
With the Splatoon Roguelike Idea, Nintendo explores new avenues of gameplay depth and replayability within the beloved Splatoon universe, promising an exhilarating experience for fans old and new alike.
The DLC, side order, came out in February 2024, which featured a roguelike story where you climb a 30 floor tower.
The roguelike elements gives the players a new way to experience the game they loved in a completely new way. Players get upgrades every floor they clear called “Color Chips.”
They enhance some of the aspects of how you complete the next levels. The main goal was to have 30 floors. Unfortunately l these color chips only affected the single-player campaign. However, the game also gave cosmetics and weapons for completing the climb of the tower.
I plan to incorporate roguelike elements later into the game’s lifecycle through a new mode, called “The Brainwave.” To avoid spilling too much about it, here is a small gist of roguelike elements that will be included into the mode:
And of course there will be “Brain Boosters'' as well, which, unlike most roguelikes, will not be lost if you lose in the mode.
