@Exorcius Yeah. You could branch it.
I could branch this and do some neat things... Permission? I will put your name and tell people to give all the credit to you.
Cool game. I loved it's simplicity and humour. As @Murtaza mentioned, some more humour would be be really effective. Normally, I like music in games, but I actually think that no music fits this game. Also, I think it would be cool if buttons were placed around the screen more randomly, not just in the same places. Some more button colours would be cool too.
Nice job! My high score was 35 - challenging game ;)
@Murtaza thanks! I will work on it!
It's a good start. But not enough to make it really compelling. Here are a few suggestions that I think could help:
- You say don't press the red button.. But nothing really tells me I should press the other buttons. Maybe make this a bit more clear. You really need to get in the brain of your payers, and somehow convince them to press the buttons with out actually saying it.
- Not enough reward to pressing buttons. Humans love being rewarded, there is a whole section of the brain that controls this. Take a look at slot machines, even when you're losing you feel like your winning and people keep putting more money in them. The flashy lights, sounds, music, graphics all trigger the reward centre of the brain and make people want to keep playing. Apply this to your game.
- When timer is running low, tell me.. When I'm getting into it, I forget about the timer. Maybe flash it, add a sound, some text?
- I feel there is some room for humour. You sort of do this already, with the "Carry On" text. More of this could add a layer of fun. Make a story of it, or just some fun dry jokes that fit with the concept of trying to confuse you.
