A shooting game for the one button challenge. Slightly inspired by duck hunt. Note that aiming is tilt controlled, I wouldn't recommend playing in a car or a bus.

Fixed the help info being hidden (I hid it while testing, forgot to unhide). Please tell me if there is anything more I should add or any bugs I should fix.

It's hard to read instructions....... help?

Lol, I posted this ages ago... it's tilt controlled, you're supposed to tilt to aim and tap to shoot. I'm not planning on updating this, I'll probably overwrite it with another project some day.

I made the graphics using Pixel Art Maker by Nekomimimi (https://appsto.re/au/fc3G1.i). I made the icon by taking a screenshot and cropping it with Photoshop Touch (no longer on the AppStore).

How do you make an icon?

Tilting is not allowed to be used in the 1 button challenge. Your entire gameplay must be done with 1 single button. That's it!
Also, your game is way too hard. There are no sounds, so I had no idea if I was shooting. I didn't know how to zoom in (did it by accident). Good start, but needs a bit more work!

Could you please remove this game from the hub since it's not accepted in the challenge? I don't really want this as one of my games...
November 04, 2015
We can't remove games without your account getting an infraction. If you're not proud of your submission, you shouldn't have posted in the first place. That's why we have one of the rules of the hub being don't share games that are too early in development, or incomplete. If you want us to remove this, then it will count as a strike and you will be temporarily suspended from submitting projects to the hub.

I posted this as part of the challenge, I didn't realise that tilt controls were against the rules. The game is sort of useless with one button. Is a strike permanent? If not then I guess it's okay to be removed. Will users removing projects be in an update?
November 05, 2015
It's pretty much a 1 strike suspension. So you won't be able to submit again for at least week.
November 05, 2015
But after that there is nothing permanent? Then okay, please remove it.
November 05, 2015
If you get enough infractions it could lead to a permeant ban.
November 07, 2015
Do they go after a certain amount of time? E.g. After a month it no longer counts? Permanent seems a bit harsh...
November 07, 2015
Nope. Not right now at least. We're pretty serious when it comes to making sure the hub is a quality place. We basically want to avoid the hyperPad hub turning into the old GamePress arcade with a lot of empty projects, childish comments and remarks, and just overall a bad community. It especially matters now, when it's very early in the communities existence.

Why don't you just let people delete their own projects? It's not that I'm not proud of my game, but I just wouldn't make the game like this if it wasn't for the challenge. Is there any chance I could get an exception?
November 08, 2015
There's some technical reasons to it. Just based on how the hub is coded. It's planned, just not priority right now.

Leave the contest and add a zoom button, fire button, and joystick controls. :)
August 05, 2016
I could do but I think the game itself just isn't very great (and the graphics are pretty bad). If I update it, it will probably be a completely different game to overwrite this.

Atleast tell me where to change the controls, set the zoom to a button, and set the shoot button.
August 05, 2016
If you really want it, here is a link to a joystick controlled version with buttons to shoot and zoom (the moving is in the object in the centre of the bullet layer, the button behaviours are in the crosshairs on the scene UI layer). The link expires in 7 days. I also made it so you can only shoot once every half second and there is now a small explosion that show up to make it clear that you shot.

Thanks.

Also can I upload it so ppl can play
August 06, 2016
Yeah, I don't mind but I don't think it's that great a game. Just write in the description that it's a modified version of my game or something.
